Today, August 23, 2023, the Brazilian Customs approved Sinerlog’s application for accreditation as a certifier for the “Programa Remessa Conforme” (PRC). The company becomes the first in the world to achieve the title of certifier for all program requirements and the issuer of the compliance label for the program.

“Remessa Conforme” brings new opportunities for local and foreign companies engaged in international trade in Brazil. Although it is a voluntary program, the PRC offers significant market advantages to approved companies. The purpose is to combat tax evasion and promote fair and equal competition between domestic retailers and foreign e-commerce businesses.

Strategies to evade taxation and other customs regulations by major foreign marketplaces have negatively impacted the domestic retail sector, which found itself in an imbalanced and unfair competition. Faced with this scenario, Brazilian authorities tightened customs inspections, and in an effort to promote compliance, the Brazilian Customs launched the Remessa Conforme Program, which rewards those who share information and accurately highlight product taxes.

Marketplaces, e-commerce businesses, logistics companies, and other stakeholders engaged in international trade, interested in leveraging the market advantages offered by the Remessa Conforme program, now have Sinerlog as a strong partner to guide them toward compliance—simply request consultancy from our technology team.

“With the label and support from the Brazilian Customs, it is now possible to have faster clearance and greater operational security, enabling the reduction of irregularities and allowing the public to identify brands that operate within legal compliance,” explains Fábio Baracat, CEO of Sinerlog.

Sinerlog’s Technology for Remessa Conforme Compliance

Sinerlog is the only company worldwide ready to assist other organizations in complying with Remessa Conforme. This is achievable through the Cross Commerce as a Service platform, a compilation of Sinerlog’s proprietary systems with functionalities that integrate all stakeholders involved in the import and/or export process to Brazil, ensuring a secure, agile, and compliant operation.

  • Cross Border e-Portal: enables the submission of detailed shipment data to the Brazilian Customs’ inspection system in a simple, secure, and rapid manner. This allows the responsible customs agent to quickly access cargo data if needed;
  • e-Invoice: electronic cross-border invoice ensuring issuance, unification, and standardization of all seller, shipment, buyer, recipient, and online store data in one place. The document was developed in collaboration with SGS, a global leader in company certification, serving as proof of international transactions and aiding in safeguarding your business against fraud and counterfeiting.
  • Vendors Verification: a confirming label that the platform’s seller is secure and adheres to all criteria required by the Remessa Conforme program, provided in partnership with SGS;
  • NCM Scan & Validator: validates the Common Mercosur Nomenclature (NCM), a classification system used to identify and categorize goods and products during import and export operations.
